Pause for a minute!
by username infor all those who are still on the fence regarding this evil cult i present one image that tells a thousand stories.
i just took a screenshot of this months cult indoctrination broadcast.
although i have watched the "faith in action" video before and it still has the same effect on me as it always does, this image is the most evocative of them all.

What is this? I don't think I can be bothered to watch. Is this the november JW broadcast? -

Good luck bud. My personal thought, leaving over an online tiff with another person is a bit meaningless when you and your experience could affect others for good. But in the end.....its your life.
Take care.

What more do they need to see?
by stuckinarut2 inso bethelites are being decreased...bethel homes even sold off.... special pioneers no longer being funded.. magazines getting smaller and published less frequently.. building work stopping or being reduced.. no large conventions and renting of venues.. etc.... so, money is not coming in anymore to cover the "expenses"??.
didnt the first ever watchtower said that when this occurs, it would be evidence of god no longer blessing the activity....
oh, and throughout the years, we have constantly been told that the "growth of the org and the projects such as buildings and contributions" etc were evidence of gods blessing.... .

The comments by Heard are the spin. Most JW's won't even blink. Most of us wouldn't have at one time.
Its that they are being practical, and because the growth is so outstanding and huge (MASSIVE!), the funds donated just can't keep pace with the growth! But you guys have been doing great with the money! Keep it up!
So thats it. Nothing interesting to most JW's. Until people get their particular button pushed and allow themselves to look closer, they will remain controlled.
For me it was blood. For my wife, disfellowshipping. For a buddy of mine it was 1914. For many others its being treated unfairly or seeing corruption that allows them to consider the possibility the religion isn't special.
Thats how people leave. It has to be something meaningful to THEM. The branch itself has plenty for everyone to work with to get out, but the narrative and control is strong.
I will say though, when someone gets their button pushed.......it usually leads to a pretty fast wake up.

Have you heard the one about "Back to the Future" Predicting 911??
by EndofMysteries inwhen somebody posted this on fb, i was anxious to see how ridiculous it would be, probably worse then the gb prophecies, etc.
after watching the clip, i honestly don't know what to believe.
at the very least it's very entertaining and interesting.

Seriously though......in the 90's there was an Armenian guy that tried to blow up the towers. Its been targeted more than once. So the video game or anything else, really isn't stretching too far. -

I just noticed there is a 9 a 1 and another 1 on my computer keyboard. Its a separate 1 from a 10 key just for all you doubters out there. I have a "double? espresso "shot" on my desk. Double representing the twin towers, and "shot" meaning shot.
I also just was sent an e mail from my elderly father that claims Obama is pushing sharia law in Montana. I accidentally printed this e mail, instead of my intended irs docs.
therefore.....my desk predicted 9/11 in reverse.

This stuff drives me nuts (first video). Does it really take guts to interupt a large gathering by yelling? With every person I have ever spoken to who is now out, I have yet to hear one single story that starts with...."this guys at the convention yelled something that really made me think".
Instead it feeds the narrative of the fire breathing apostate that they are told to beware of, and that is proof of Satans unique persecution against them. Bravo you moron! You have just entrenched the faith of thousands of JW's even more, while essentially engaging in therapy for your own scars, and coming off exactly like they want you too. If the branch was smart they would get some actors to do this at every convention. It would really be good in continuing the fear narrative.
Drives me nuts.

Jan 2016 study WT attempt to keep control of professed anointed ones, brainwashing in action!
by EndofMysteries ina really great example of wt pulling doctrine out of their heiney that nowhere exists in the scriptures!
when i started waking up to ttatt, i remember in my own reading the tons of scriptures that speak of god, the holy spirit, etc teaching directly.
tons of scriptures that go against the wt doctrine of only able to learn through them.

Playing devils advocate here however, wouldn't the scripture be referring to those already anointed? In other words, the scripture is saying that the anointed don't need to be taught. that wouldn't apply then to the non anointed then in their eyes yes?
